Bravo Gloria!
Bravo Gloria! challenges stereotypes
of mental retardation by presenting Gloria Lehnhoff, a friendly, outgoing,
talented woman of 32 with the mental development of a 12-year-old. Unable
to do simple arithmetic, yet an accomplished singer and musician, Gloria
leads a productive and rewarding life. She works in a sheltered workshop,
volunteers at a pre-school, and serves as assistant cantor at her synagogue.
With the love and understanding of her family and her own warmth and perseverance,
Gloria triumphs.
