Check It Out

Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among men in America. As the cause of this type of cancer is virtually undetermined, regular examinations, as a preventative measure, are the key factor to early detection and successful treatment. Eight of the country's leading authorities on the subject describe early warning signs, and the difference between an enlarged prostate and cancer. Utilizing explicit footage from an actual examination, the most effective detection procedures are explained and discussed. Specialists also explore the different degrees of tumors, as well as various treatment options ranging from the most traditional methods to more experimental practices. They are joined by actor Robert Goulet, retired General Norman Schwarzkopf, and other prominent men, who describe their personal experiences with the disease and the treatment options they chose to embrace. Check It Out is a program devoted to providing accurate information on prostate cancer.
