My Man Bovanne

Based on the short story by Toni Cade Bamara, My Man Bovanne is about growing older the way one wants to, not the way others expect you to. Hazel Peoples (Theresa Merritt) is an older woman who meets Bovanne (Bill Cobbs), a blind man from the neighborhood, at a political fundraiser organized by her children. Hazel and Bovanne instantly delight in each other's company and a romantic interest begins to develop. This is to the great dismay of Hazel's adult children who try to interfere with this new romance. With wit and gentle satiric humor, My Man Bovanne looks at the considerable differences between growing old and living life to the fullest at any age. Other cast members include Angela Bassett, James McDaniel and Samm-Art Williams.
