No Fear of Flying: An Image
of Virginia Huidekoper
This lively production is a retrospective
of the life of seventy-two
year-old Virginia Huidekoper, an inspirational modern day Renaissance
woman who embodies the independent spirit of the West. Virginia's story
is told as she pilots a light airplane over the breathtaking mountains
and valleys of northwestern Wyoming. Virginia discloses her feelings about
her father, who died when she was six months old, and explains how living
in a single parent household affected her life choices. Through her narration,
Virginia discusses her multiple careers as a ski racer, newspaper publisher,
bush pilot, rancher, and historian and shares her passions and philosophy
of life. As Virginia reveals her wide variety of life experiences, viewers
become drawn to her strength and wisdom. Proving that there is nothing
a person can't accomplish if they have the will and desire, Virginia is
a vibrant role model.
