Osteoporosis - Your Bones/
Your Life

Osteoporosis - Your Bones / Your Life portrays the challenges that a group of aging women experience as a result of this debilitating disease. Several women candidly discuss the frustrations, fears, and changes they face as they offer support and understanding to each other. This documentary looks at prevention, early detection, and treatment of the disease, as experts in this field guide the audience through various segments. This film also focuses on an upbeat alternative to help women maintain positive body images. Featuring interviews and film clips from a dress designer who caters to the special needs of this population, viewers become sensitized to the changes in body shape that precipitate this illness. Ending on an emotional high note, models in flattering clothing creations proudly walk down the runway at the first fashion show for women with osteoporosis.
