Shine

This romantic comedy tells the inspiring and amusing tale of an elderly gentleman named "Shine." Shine spends his days chatting with friends, attending wakes and funerals, and generally enjoying himself. However, life becomes decidedly more entertaining when outspoken Eleanor Bradshaw moves into the neighborhood and across the street from Shine. Upon introduction, she informs Shine that his name is inappropriate and that she has been called "Ms" long before that title became common. Easy-going Shine is not always certain how to respond to the biting encounters he has with Eleanor, but it becomes obvious that he is very intrigued. Encouraged by his friends and outraged by Eleanor, Shine finally becomes courageous enough to invite her out for dinner. After an enjoyable, but unusual, evening out Shine and Eleanor realize that their cantankerous relationship is more than merely a friendship. What follows is a brief courtship that turns into love.
