Whisper, The Women
Seven senior women share individual
stories and reflections of their lives, creating a non-traditional profile
of growing older. These women look back on their lives and reminisce about
their achievements, places they have visited, and what they would have
done differently. One woman remembers the career she had as a concert
pianist, another recommends waiting to marry at a later age, and yet another
woman talks about receiving her pilot's license. These ladies also speak
about what they would like to see happen within their lifetimes. One woman
wanted to see the Civil Rights Bill passed, while another hoped to experience
parachuting. Finally, this production ends with the upbeat declaration
from one who states that she is not going to worry about what the future
holds for her. She is simply going to enjoy what she has now.
