The Apartment

C. C. Baxter (Jack Lemmon) tries to climb the corporate ladder by loaning his apartment to executives for their affairs, but ends up dealing with complications and a romance of his own. Jack Lemmon gives a wonderful performance as the insurance clerk who jumps ahead in the rat race by lending out the key to his apartment to the executives at his company for their romantic encounters. All goes well until he discovers that his boss is taking the girl of his dreams, the elevator operator Miss Kubelick, brilliantly played by Shirley MacLaine, to his apartment. Also starring Fred MacMurray.
