The Thin Man

William Powell and Myrna Loy recreate their famous roles as Nick and Nora Charles in an adaptation of a Dashiell Hammett story set on Nob Hill in San Francisco. The Thin Man is the first installment in one of the most successful detective serials in film history. It's a quick-witted repartee that set a Hollywood tradition in their crackling debut as Nick and Nora investigate the disappearance of a wealthy inventor. The film also stars Maureen O'Sullivan and Nat Pendleton

Selected for the Library of Congress' National Film Registry of American Film.
