Crack Clouds Over Hell's Kitchen

A visit to Hell's Kitchen in NYC is the setting for this video directed by Joan Jubela on the effects of crack upon local residents. Young students interview the addicts and dealers that spend their time in the "zombie land" that is the world of crack cocaine. The intense thrill produced by the drug lasts a very short time and the desire for more hits has driven many of those interviewed to sacrifice everything they used to hold dear. One former addict confined to a wheelchair after a stabbing has left him paralyzed, spends his days in the park trying to save others from a similar fate. A rap performed by Krush Image attempts to convey the same message.
