Cocaine True, Cocaine Blue

A harrowing portrait of Danny J, a drug addict/dealer, and the world he inhabits in a crack-infested neighborhood in North Philadelphia. This candid video directed by Eugene Richards takes an intimate look at Danny, his girlfriend, Kathy and their violent relationship, his friend, Peanut, who escaped a run-in with a pusher and has a bullet-hole to prove it, and Danny's mother who can only cry and beg in desperation that her son return to the way he "used to be".
