Shattered Dreams

This is the emotional story of a family who must deal with the tragedy of schizophrenia - not once but twice. The Martini family lived through the turmoil of losing their youngest son, Ben to schizophrenia and eventually to suicide. Six years later they discover that their second son, Liv, has developed the same mental illness. Liv describes the reality of his "shattered dreams". The third brother, Clem narrates the film and he explains how the lack of information about the illness left the family ill-prepared to help Ben when he was released from the hospital. He also talks about he family's guilt and deep distress. Directed by Wendy Hill-Tout.
