Twitch and Shout

Filmmaker Laurel Chiten has provided us with an insider's look at the world of Tourette's Syndrome (TS), a mysterious genetic disorder which produces a bizarre range of involuntary movements, as well as obscene vocalizations and compulsions. Providing a guided tour, is Lowell Handler, a photojournalist with TS who travels the world taking pictures of others like himself. Along the way we meet a sculptor/painter, a professional basketball player, a singer/actress, and a lumberjack who have all learned to cope with the syndrome and the problems that arise when they interact with an uninformed public.
